Provenance
A bowl remembers the hand that threw it.
The well-rail teapot is a classic of the scholar's teapot. The maker began as a painter, and brings deep grounding in traditional painting to his carving. The carved line comes first; he prizes the plain and the unpolished. Painting enters the pot, the knife work firm and forceful, unrestrained.
