Frequently asked
The short answers. Longer ones live in shipping and returns.
Are these real intangible-heritage objects?
Many are made by inheriting craftspeople or studios working in recognised techniques such as cloisonné, Su embroidery, bamboo weaving and lacquer. Others are contemporary pieces by independent designers. Every product page names the technique, material and maker context — we never use 'heritage' as a vague adjective.
Where do you ship from, and how long does it take?
From China, with tracking. In-stock orders dispatch in 2–4 business days; transit is typically 7–16 business days. Made-to-order pieces have a longer lead time stated on the product page.
Will I pay customs duties?
Possibly. Import duties, VAT/GST and handling fees are set by your country and are payable by the recipient. They are not included in our prices.
Can I return an object?
Unused objects can be returned within 14 days of delivery, except one-of-one and made-to-order pieces. Contact us first. See shipping and returns for the full policy.
Is the packaging plastic-free?
We use recycled paper, moulded pulp and recyclable cushioning. Some small pieces need a recyclable plastic bag for moisture protection. We are plastic-light, not perfect.
Can I request a commission or a larger quantity?
Sometimes. Small studios have limited capacity. Email us with the object, quantity and deadline and we will ask the maker.
