This is a one-off study, not a reproduction. The walnut frame is made in Suzhou; the glazing is UV-filtering acrylic so the piece can hang in daylight without the weight and risk of glass.

Provenance
Embroidered by a Suzhou artist who usually works on commission for museums. She kept this study for herself for two years, then let us have it on the condition that we credit the technique properly: flat stitch, long-and-short stitch, and a single thread of hand-twisted silk for the red current.
